So is the case with myCUmortgage’s new partner, Astera Credit Union in Lansing, Mich. Their new head of mortgage lending joined Astera after previously working with another credit union partner. Once at Astera, inconsistent service levels and a lack of profitability with their current mortgage CUSO were apparent. A change needed to be made.

To best serve the CU’s 16,000 members, myCUmortgage was brought aboard. Driving this new CU1 and Government partnership with Astera, which holds over $152 million in assets, was myCUmortgage's comprehensive solutions and processes as well as the mortgage business model.

Community United Credit Union in Strongsville, Ohio already has a lot going for it: $11.8 million in assets, 2,719 members and plenty of opportunity to offer mortgages to their members. Northern Indiana Federal Credit Union in Merrillville, Ind. is ready to see the “word on the street” in action.

The credit union currently offers mortgages to its 4,600 members, but its former provider was structured so that the credit union couldn’t self-service their portfolio loans. With expensive fees placed by their previous partner, it was fiscally challenging to do so. myCUmortgage is changing all that.

Northern Indiana FCU is looking forward to self-servicing their portfolio loans as a CU1-Government and Servicing partner. With assets of $34.2 million, the credit union wants to be a part of the mortgage obsession that our partners are talking about.

When you have something good, you don't give it up. The new CEO at Neighbors United Federal Credit Union knew she had something good with CU Select and made sure she continued that successful partnership.

Based in Greenwood, S.C., Neighbors United currently offers mortgages to their 7,500 members through another provider. Seeing the opportunity to expand through CU Select, the credit union partnered with myCUmortgage with one stipulation: The CU Select loan originator must be Beth Isherwood!
