One of my colleagues recently returned from vacation and was telling me all about it. He took a cruise; as soon as I heard that, my eye stalks drooped a little, and he asked if there was something wrong.
I told him that I’ve never been on an “Earth cruise” and despite my alien body being quite adept to G-forces experienced during deep space travel, I don’t think my cranium or three stomachs could take the motion of the ocean. I’ve only been on the water once during my extended stay here on your planet, and that’s the one time my light blue complexion turned green.
He put my mind (and stomachs) at ease once he explained how the large ship’s stabilizers work to keep things relatively free from movement and how numerous motion sickness remedies are available. He went on to say why he preferred cruises over other types of vacations. In a seashell, he said it’s all about the excellent service, attention to detail and taking the load off passengers when it comes to planning.
On a cruise, the staff of the ship takes care of everything: from portering luggage to feeding you with seemingly endless, high-quality options of food and drink; from ensuring your cabin is stocked with supplies and in tiptop shape to documenting your journey with photographs; from planning your itinerary with a plethora of options to entertaining you every step of the way.
At myCUmortgage, we provide a similar option to our credit unions who want to offer mortgages to their members with the credit union level of service, but recognize that they don’t have the resources, time or industry expertise to offer mortgages to their members. They find a solution in CU Select, our experienced team of mortgage loan originators who work as an extension of their credit union. These full-time, experienced loan originators provide the highest quality service and best mortgage products available. Much like a cruise line takes most of the work out of your vacation planning, CU Select works for you and your members in the pursuit of homeownership.
When your credit union becomes a CU Select partner, the program offers the solutions, expertise, technology and service support you need to help provide a seamless mortgage experience for you and your members—without adding overhead. The process is easy to follow: Your members come to you seeking a mortgage loan; a loan application is taken electronically through a CU Select site co-branded with your credit union information; and our loan originators take it from there, guiding the member along the mortgage process to help them with their goal of homeownership.
In cruise-speak, you and your credit union are always the captains of the mortgage ship and CU Select is your crew, making sure the passengers (members) benefit from their mortgage industry knowledge, experience and enthusiasm, all while keeping your credit union’s brand on the masthead where it belongs.
And what a crew it is—huge shout outs go to your Cruise Director Chris, and his team of mortgage experts: Brycen, Beth, Jennifer, Oscar, Eric and Jessie. But don’t take it from this alien on how awesome this team is—check out some of the comments from members who worked with CU Select by watching this short video.
In today’s mortgage purchase market, teams like CU Select are becoming parts of credit unions who have never before offered mortgages but want to help more members realize the dream of homeownership—or credit unions who are looking for new opportunities to navigate the rapidly changing currents of the purchase market. Your members rely on you for their financial needs—doesn’t it only make sense that they come to you with what could be the largest purchase of their lifetimes?
Excellent service, attention to detail and taking the load off passengers (you and your members). That’s what the CU Select Cruise Line is all about, and together, we can deliver the homebuying voyage your members deserve.
The mortgage ship has come about and is in port, ready for boarding. Make sure you and your members are on the passenger list and ready to be thrilled with some great homebuying excursions. Welcome aboard!
